TONDO

Narrative toy for children

 

A toy that allows children and adults to tell stories in a new, exciting, interactive way. Is an illuminated clock, theater and carillon together which is possible to hang or place in children's room. TONDO works mechanically: by pulling the string, the clock hands start to rotate at different speeds following a carillon's melody. Magnetic figures are attached to the hands and can be exchanged. The characters are taken from three tales of Grimm brothers. It is possible to tell "correct" stories (Little Red Riding Hood...).

However it is also possible tell mixed ones, thanks to the users imagination, by putting together protagonists from different stories. The landscape-backgrounds are also interchangeable and follow the same principle. They can be positioned in slots and the characters move between them. Finally there are yellow and blue lights to create day or night atmosphere. TONDO is also a nightlight that helps children to sleep.
